By MWS: Suga of BTS released his pre-release track, People Pt. 2, on Friday, April 7, 2023. The rapper-song writer and producer collaborated with IU for the track. In a new interview with IU herself, he revealed that Jungkook was the vocal guide for the song.

Earlier, a clip from his BTS videos had been doing the rounds where Suga is seen playing Jungkook’s vocal guide. Now, Suga has revealed that he even considered featuring Jungkook in the video. "Jungkook sang the guide for this song, I had Jungkook and IU on my mind, who do I want to feature on this song?” He said. However, IU then came onboard.

ABOUT PEOPLE PT. 2

The official press release by BigHit Music states, “People Pt. 2 is a boom bap rhythm-based pop R&B track featuring IU with her crystalline voice creating a beautiful balance overall. The track illustrates the constant repetition of states and emotions in relationships between people.”

The music video for People Pt. 2 (feat. IU) features only Suga in the film as IU was unavailable for shoot due to date issues. Meanwhile, the pre-release track will be followed by the album drop on D-Day. D-Day will drop on April 21, 2023.

The album will see Suga collaborating with BTS bandmate J-hope on ‘HUH?!’ There is also collab with Woosung of The Rose and late Japanese composer Ryuichi Sakamoto on ‘Snooze’.
